Bug & security issues

Help us finding bugs and vulnerabilities

We use a “bug tracker” enabling users to report bugs for the latest versions.

Please note that to be able to report bugs you have to sign up a bug tracker account first and you can use that account to login to the bug tracker

How to report a bug or security issue

Please test if the problem still exists at the latest release . If so, open a new issue in the bugtracker and bear in mind the following:

Give as much information as possible
If you report a security issue, please make sure you set severity or category of the bug to Security!
Find more information about our security policy at https://github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/security.
Attach a little survey (lss or lsa file) demonstrating the issue. Optionally you can mark your bug report “private” so that only the developers will be able to take a look at it.
Provide step-by-step instructions how to reproduce the problem.
If possible, please provide screenshots
If possible, please provide the PHP configuration.
If you can, set debug mode to 2 and see if you see a more detailed error. You can save this file as html and attach it to the reported bug.

In our bug tracker make sure that you submit your bug report to the appropriate tracker (see select box in the upper right corner).

If you have already fixed the bug and want to contribute it to us, please create an account on Github and use a pull request.
